I make heirloom quality objects that are as functional as they are beautiful. They are built to be passed down to the next generation rather than disposed. I believe in the power of simplicity and the natural beauty of wood. I put my heart and soul into everything I make, whether it's my own design or a close collaboration with a client. I love what I do.

 

VALMAR was founded in 1968 in Watervliet, New York by my grandparents Val and Mary Montepare. Val taught me exceptional craftsmanship is built with your hands and Mary showed me how to create from the heart. My work is in honor of them.
